It took the United States almost a century to formally recognize the Armenian genocide. Members of both US political parties wanted to placate Turkey and felt official recognition was just semantics.

Islamic militants, from Saudi Arabia and funded by Osama Bin Laden, shouting “Allahu Akbar” attacked the US homeland killing 2,977 people. Most of the World joined the US in condemnation of the attacks. A handful of Countries and territories with large militant Islamic Muslim populations celebrated the attacks including the Gaza strip, an area inside Israel housing 2 million Palestinians under the Government of Hamas which is supported by 53% of Palestinians. Hamas is recognized as a terrorist organization by the US.
October 7th, 2023
Hamas militants shouting “Allahu Akbar” invade Israel torturing and killing over 1,400 Israelis and foreign Nationals. 30 Americans are killed and a dozen or so are missing and believed held hostage.

Multiple groups ranging from the Democratic Socialists of America, Black Lives Matter, and hundreds of Colleges and University student groups come out with statements condemning and blaming Israel. Many cheered on the terrorist acts and called them acts of “resistance”. Nazi symbols and “Gas the Jews” cheers were present at the Democratic Socialist of America rally in NYC (not a surprise as the Nazi party was the German Socialist party) but concerning as several current Democratic members of Congress are members of this party. The entire GOP, more than half the Democratic party, and President Biden have pushed back against these terrorist enablers but to no avail. America has been infiltrated and young Americans brainwashed by woke ideology. Attacks on American soil is now guaranteed and worse, some will see them as justifiable.
I apologize to those I challenged before who say Belmont is Anti-Semitic. I was naïve to think that was a one-sided political tool to drum up votes like the BLM rallies. After current events it is clear the hate and indifference of Jews is widespread and more vocal in the woke young and is being permitted by the silence from those who should know better. Whether it’s the Holocaust slogan “Never Again” … or America’s 9/11 “Never Forget” … those words seem forgotten by too many.
Entertaining a “but” argument is an immediate sign you are dealing with an intellectually inferior and morally challenged woke person. It’s devastating that the 45% of peaceful Palestinians in Gaza are struggling and dying because of Hamas actions. That still leaves over 1 million Hamas supporters in Gaza. Egypt and Jordan are refusing to take in Gazan refugees out of fear they might include Hamas supporters so bringing them here is a solid NO. The woke would be better off figuring out how to separate the good Palestinians from the evil and quick before the good are all gone.
A former Jewish classmate told me he isn’t shocked at what is happening but is repulsed. He assigns some of the blame to “Self Loathing Jews” who have been enabling antisemitism for years by entertaining “victim blaming” nonsense. Jews who supported BDS movements etc.
Belmont is a Town of signs… I have one in the form of the American flag. There are plenty of Ukrainian flags, Rainbow flags, All our Welcome signs, and BLM signs. Perhaps the biggest sign came from our new Superintendent of Schools whose response to the terror attacks in Israel was on scale with US Congresswomen (D) Ilhan Omar’s “some people did some things” 9/11 comment. Below is the email to families in which “natural disasters, war, and conflict” are used instead of calling it what the US Government calls it… a terrorist attack by a terrorist group.
Not being able to differentiate terror acts from war and conflict is loathsome. Our children should be told the truth… not some woke ideology. Americans and Israelis were tortured and killed by Islamic terrorists who seek a perfect Islamic society. It’s called Ethnic Cleansing. It happened to Armenians in Turkey and now Azerbaijan and it happened to Jews in Europe during WW2. Stop placating Evil.
